This guide is going to cover all the monsters in Monster Hunter: Rise, as well as how to get them, the best way to get them and how to kill them. This guide will help you get a feel of what you’re getting into and what you’re going to need to get past this.
Welcome back to our Monster Hunter Rise Dango Guide with a new installment! Last time, we took a look at the Dango skills that we recommend you max out first to get you into the groove. Now, we’re ready to get into the nitty-gritty of actually using the skills, which we’ll get into next time!
Searching for Monster Hunter: Rise Dango on the App Store or Google Play Store will result in a rash of reviews, amongst them a lot of positive ones, but also some negative ones. I started this guide by gathering all the reviews of the game into a single place, and though there is a lot of good content, I feel that much of it is cluttering the content of the guide, and some of it is not relevant to the guide itself. It would be better to gather all the reviews into a single place and add them as I go along.
The new mechanics are by far the hardest part of the Monster Hunter games. Capcom tries to help players with small tutorials, but they aren’t always helpful when it comes to explaining the nuances of the new systems. This is what makes Monster Hunter so notoriously difficult – if you want to play the game the way it’s supposed to be played, you have to be willing to figure a lot of things out on your own. Imagine my joy when Monster Hunter Rise transformed the dining room into a cute little dango cafe with an organized menu reminiscent of my local Boba Tea Shop. The flavors were easy to recognize, the skills were easy to understand, and the song was easy to understand. It was everything I had dreamed of, and it was definitely an improvement over the power systems in previous games. To help you understand this great new system and all it has to offer, we’ve put together a comprehensive Dango Guide to Monster Hunter Rise Rabbit. Here we go!
Monster Hunter Rise Dango Guide
We start with a short course on Dango. Monster Hunter Rise revamped the franchise and its approach to food, introducing a cleaner interface and much more intuitive food effects. Gone are the days when food is all you need to improve your health and stamina. It is now much easier to arm yourself with specific skills for all your favorite yachts.
What is a dango rabbit?
Dango rabbit is a hunting snack that allows hunters to improve their status during the hunt. Eating Dango (in whichever flavor you choose) will give you more health and stamina, with bonuses increasing as you progress through the game.
Impact | Activate |
---|---|
Health +20 Endurance +20 | Available from the start |
Health +30 Endurance +30 | Complete ★3 tasks in the village or ★2 tasks in the middle. |
Health +40 Endurance +40 | Complete ★4 tasks in the village or ★3 tasks in the middle. |
Health +50 Endurance +50 | Complete ★5 tasks in the village or ★4 tasks in the middle. |
You can create custom Dango combinations with different flavors, each of which has special effects in addition to the standard health and stamina boost. Some flavors can be upgraded when you reach a high rank, giving you a stronger version of the original effect. Below is a complete list of all Dango flavors and their effects, so keep reading to learn more!
How to eat a dango rabbit
You can eat rabbit dango at the Kamura Village Tea Shop or in the Gathering Hub dining room. There is no mechanical difference between the two: they offer the same flavors, include the same daily specials, and are not limited to one or more players. The only difference is that when you order, you get different scenes depending on the restaurant you’re at. If you forgot to bring a snack before you left, don’t worry! You can also walk to a tent in one of the main or secondary camps and choose food for a late-night pick-me-up. This will allow you to order from the Dango Bunny menu or choose one of the pre-recorded combinations, but you will not be able to access the daily specials or activate one-time effects.
Bunny Dango’s Tips and Tricks
The following tips will help you enjoy the best dango in Monster Hunter Riseto ensure you always get the best deal on the best food!
Check daily supply
Daily Special is always listed first on the menu and is stamped.
Even if you have the perfect dango combination, you need to see what’s on the menu. Whenever you order from a tearoom or canteen, one of six special flavours is offered, in addition to the usual ones. These tangos offer special rewards and are awarded with each quest. So don’t forget to check out what’s available so you don’t miss out on any useful bonuses!
Complete Dango tasks to unlock new flavors
From time to time you’ll receive a special request from Chef Yomogi, who will ask you to collect ingredients for the dango. These quests range from village quests where you have to run through the neighborhood and collect beautiful herbs, to special side quests where you have to scare Gargwa and bring his eggs to the main camp. Once you have fulfilled these requests, Yomogi will update the Dango menu with a brand new flavor with a unique bonus effect.
Save your favorite combinations
Saving your favorite dango combinations is easy – once you’ve put together your favorite set, simply select Save to Set to save the combination. The next time you’re dining out, you can quickly order stored sets by placing a regular order and selecting the set you want. You can even name your kits to make them easier to find. If you have a particular combo you like to use against Rakna Kadaka, save it under a name other than Dango Set 03, this can be a handy way to quickly select it from the list. Save and name your favorite combinations for later use.
Remember, you can’t save on some daily deals. Saving Berry Safe’s dango on the board isn’t a smart way to get dango insurance for every meal – the game just replaces it with the Daily Special currently on the menu. (I’m also pretty sure it doesn’t allow you to keep the high level upgraded Dango in multiplayer if you’ve only unlocked the low level version. My hunting partner and I upgraded for the same price, so I’m not sure – write it in the comments if you can).
Use Dango Tickets
In conclusion: Don’t forget to use dango tickets when ordering! These tickets are actually super powerful coupons that not only allow you to eat for free, but also increase the activation rate of the dangos you choose by 40%. If you want a special ability that only has a 60% chance of being activated, using a dango card is a good way to make sure you get the boost. You can earn more tango tickets by ordering Motley mixes in the tea room and cafeteria. Yomogi gives you a ticket for two items you prepare, so it’s a good way to use the extra materials you have around the house. Roasting a steak I bought especially for this picture with my two best friends.
However, if you don’t want to waste all your crafting items, you can always run to Argosy and trade raw meat with Rondin. If you cook the meat, you’ll get Yomoga tickets, so it’s a good way to stock up without spending a lot of money to collect supplies.

Monster Hunter Rise‘s best Dango costumes
Now that we’ve discussed all the flavors, let’s look at some of the best dango food combinations! All of these specific combinations are guaranteed to help you hunt.
MHR Best All-Around Dango Set
This combination is meant to give you a complete stat boost that can be useful no matter how far you get in the game, what weapons you use, what single player or multiplayer mode you play. Dango Best Allround Set
- Mint-iature (Dango Booster): temporarily increases attack and defense after use, once.
- Bestnut/Super Bestnut (Dango Defender): reduces damage suffered.
- Medic/Analeptic (Dango Medic): increases the recovery of health of objects.
As shown in the picture above, Bestoon and Medicinal products can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. You don’t get any extra skills, but you do take slightly less damage and get slightly more healing after upgrading the flavors on your menu. Definitely one of the best dangos in Monster Hunter Rise.
MHR Best Gathering Dango Set
This combination aims to increase the profitability of your assembly. If you are going on an expedition or just want to carry a little extra, this can be an easy way to get more supplies. Best Dango Set
- Leg day (wall walking): reduces the loss of endurance when walking on the wall.
- Beehive (Dango picker): increases the amount of honey you can harvest.
- Call of the Wild (Dango Summoner): increases the chance of getting rare craft creatures
The skills Gatherer and Summoner speak for themselves: you can harvest more honey and increase your chances of encountering creatures like a lizard on your wanderings. B. Rock lizards to meet. Leg day exists primarily to help you walk. If you want to collect more monster coins, I recommend looking at Rosie or the Triple Rose update in the daily deals. If available, you can swap it for one of the other flavors to increase your chances of getting extra cuts.
MHR Best Bow Dango Set
Moving on to more specific weapon combinations, let’s look at the bow. I played a lot more arc in Rise, and that combo quickly became my personal best dungeon pick in Monster Hunter Rise. Best Arc Dangoset.
- Center(Dango Sharpshooter): increases the power of shots and arrows.
- Recovery (Dango fighter): reduces stamina loss when dodging, blocking, or certain other actions.
- Spud Luck (Dango Weakener): Large monsters you encounter in quests have an increased chance of being weaker than normal.
There’s not much to say about this set, except that it only becomes available after completing quests ★5 from Kamura Village and the Gathering Center. In the meantime, it’s probably best to go with a generic set or work on another custom combination.
MHR Best KO Dango Set
This combo works best with hammers and hunting horns, which have incredible punching power that allows you to stun monsters and deal a lot of damage. Best KO Dango Set
- Secret Heart (Dango Specialist): increases the power of abnormal status attacks.
- Dizzybloom (Dango Slugger): makes it easier to stun monsters.
- Spud Luck (Dango Weakener): Large monsters you encounter in quests have an increased chance of being weaker than normal.
A secret heart is useful for inflicting damage related to an abnormal condition. Any attacks you perform to fill the monster’s stun meter will become stronger and help you stun your target faster. It combines well with Dizzybloom, making it easier to stun monsters in general.
MHR Best Artillery Dango Set
This combination is based on the bow weapon. It is suitable for both light and heavy bows, as it should increase the shooting power. This is a great option to take to the battlefield with your favorite bow rifle and your bloodlust. Dango Best Artillery Set
- Fruitflash (Dango Bomber): increases the damage of sticky ammo and cannonballs.
- Bean Plosion (Dango Temper): increases ammo damage, but also deflection.
- Center(Dango Sharpshooter): increases the power of shots and arrows.
All of these scents are designed to help you do as much damage as possible. Note that Fruit Flash applies specifically to sticky ammo. So replace this skill with another if you can’t stand sticky ammo.
